Peter Beard

A Detroit Native, Peter Beard (b.1990) is an accomplished Musician, Writer & Philanthropist. While pursuing Literature, Science & Arts at the University of Michigan through the 2010’s he simultaneously found success pursuing his lifelong creative passion of music & even explored acting leading to roles in multiple major films & series. Through that time, Peter began to develop a core vision for creating more comprehensive educational opportunities focused on bridging the gap between high school & adult life that he felt compelled to enact for the young people of our city & beyond, to make a positive change for their futures.

In 2012, he founded the Life After High School Association, inspired by the experience of growing up in pre-revitalized Detroit & wanting to create a more solid foundation, support system & comprehensive approach for young people on the precipice of adulthood in the inner city & surrounding areas. Now as we enter 2025, those foundational efforts are coming to fruition with the right team & experience, Life After High School Association is aiming to remove pivotal road blocks by shining a light on new routes to opportunities, empowering Detroit youth with the knowledge & skills needed to pave their own path toward their goals & passions in the real world.
